"Ok so i have been making my own Biofuel using a fuelmeister system for two years now and I have been running it 100% in my 94' 12v Dodge and it loves it. I bought my 06' 6.0l ford with 145k on it about . . ." more

Just to make you aware of the following event (Let me know if you want more info): Local Biomass Company to Unveil Innovative Technology with Global Potential Summerhill President. James T. McKnight, of Manlius, previously presented the smokeless, odorless system at World Bank Alternative Fuels Symposium.
King Ferry, NY – Summerhill Biomass Systems will showcase its unique system for converting green waste into clean, affordable energy.
A demonstration is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, March 12 at John Binns’ farm, 1520 Route 90, King Ferry, NY. Summerhill, named after the Cayuga County community where the technology was developed four years ago, has pending patents on its system for grinding up timber, brush, corn stalks and other plant waste and converting the fine powder into heat.
Local, state and federal lawmakers, potential investors and green energy enthusiasts have been invited to witness this long-anticipated event. Company principles will show how the solid material burns as intensely as a gas – at speeds or 5/100ths to 1/10th of a second – without smoke or odor
Dr. James McKnight, Summerhill president and co-founder, said his powder would cost less than heating oil, including delivery. The system, which is controlled by a thermostat, can be used in grain-drying operations as well as commercial and small industrial applications.
McKnight said he’s eager to prove that this powder is more efficient than ethanol and other types of biomass produced around the world.
“This is the most efficient way to store solar energy,” said McKnight, who helped develop products for DuPont and Johnson & Johnson as an organic chemist. “With our system, everything can be used – leaves, stalks, branches, twigs. Nothing is wasted.”
Summerhill previously appeared at the October new business expo at the Syracuse Tech Center, attracting media coverage and potential investors.
Dr. McKnight presented his technology at the 2008 World Bank Alternative Fuels Symposium. Summerhill previously obtained a $75,000 grant from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority for feasibility studies and is currently seeking investors. |
